Kulir 100 Degree

Kulir (Cold) will have no degrees rising to 100. So contrastive and interesting is the title indeed, but the film fails to captivate everyone’s senses.
Anita Udeep had gone through commendable works in her past including animation films and her embodiment as playback singer. But, her debut in Kollywood with ‘Kulir 100 Degree’ is so commendable

Synopsis:Story revolves around a young lad of 11th standard getting into rowdyism. Naturally his mother fearing that his rowdy father may spoil his career, sends him off to a boarding school in Ooty. Rest of the film is about this guy’s life with his friend Babloo and girlfriend Taniya. Not alone the happy moments, but he has to undergo whole lots of tougher things by his senior students.Analysis:Most of the characterizations are much caricatured and never seem to be realistic apart from the characterization of Babloo. Even, his role has been stereotypical as fat boys are food addicts. Although the girl looks cute and charming, she doesn’t suit the screens. Better she can be cover page model. Sanjeev donning the lead role does justice to his role.Technically BrilliantTechnically, the film is brilliant with stunning cinematography and colorful visuals that will keep the audiences intact in time span of whole duration. Musical score is quite good and the song ‘Manasellam’ is extraordinary.Final Take:You can watch it without any expectations and enjoy it

Kamal Haasan launches ‘Azhagar Malai’ audio

A film that has already received a lot of buzz, Azhagar Malai’s audio was launched by Padmashri Kamal Haasan at his Alwarpet office recently. It was only recently that the movie made waves for another reason, Illayaraja’s cameo in a song in the film.

Isaignani Illayaraja, who has composed music for the film, will make an appearance as himself in a song in a self introspection mode. The song has been composed and rendered by him, and will feature him reminiscing about his childhood and the places he has been to as a child. Director SP Rajakumar reveals that the plan to rope in Isaignani into the song was possible by the efforts of producer Sangili Murugan, a good friend of the music maestro.

'Ellam Avan Seyal' hero RK plays the lead of this film while Banu of 'Thamirabarani' fame plays the heroine. Produced by Karumari Kandasami, the film is the shot in the beautiful backdrop of Madhurai and its suburbs with the lilting tunes of Isaignani Illayaraja.

The film is directed by PS Rajakumar and has Illayaraja is singing and acting in the song, “Ulagam Ippo Enge Poghuthu”.

Pasupathy, back to Malayalam

After his impressive debut in ‘Big B’, Tamil actor Pasupathy is back to Malayalam to play another meaty role.

The new film ‘Vairam’ will feature the talented actor in the role of Shivarajan, a bank employee, who is in turmoil after his only girl child falls to a trap. Based on a true story that was in the headlines for long, the movie will offer great opportunities for Pasupathy to display his subtle performances to Mollywood audience.

Directed by M A Nishaad, the movie feature a big cast including Surehs Gopi, Jayasuriya, Mukesh, Kalabhavan Mani and Meera Vasudev.

The shooting for the movie is already progressing at the location of Eastern Kerala.
